IFOSS at Art Institute of Tennessee

FOSS was invited to present on the learning centered classroom for Faculty Development Day at the Art Institute of Tennessee. It's the first time the workshop has ever been adults only. We discussed Kolb's experiential learning theory, mindfulness, John Cage and found sound. Then the Ai faculty got down to business and made some amazing sculptures and then made some amazing music and sounds.
Here are some pictures and videos are on the way.

It was a successful workshop and just one of the prettiest days you could imagine at an awe inspiring place.
The Storm King staff was amazing and lots of great sounding and looking art was made.

Studio Session at Turnip Green Creative Reuse

It was a really fun workshop at Turnip Green Creative Reuse with special guest artist Miranda Herrick helping facilitate. She brought an example of her own work that repurposed materials for all participating sculptors to contemplate. Some new members received their lifetime membership cards and some of the veteran members came out as well. Thanks to Kelly at Turnip Green Creative Reuse, Megan from Haus Rotations(40AU) and of course Miranda Herrick for inspiring us all with her amazing work.
